Design, that is. When done well it's so much more than a fresh or flashy appearance. It is a way to connect, distill a message and compell action. It's a superpower dressed up in fancy paper and a sleek interface, and I get to work with it for a living. My name is Jess Flannery, thank you for stopping by my creative portfolio.
I enjoy the process of design. You have limitations? Good. A budget? Of course. A unique and important message to share with the world? That's the important part. My job is to harness the power of color, typography and form so that it speaks for your cause and connects with your audience.
I've had the privelege of doing this work in a variety of environments in my career. As a creative director in Boston I developed brands for innovative startups and partnered with established companies like Microsoft and MIT to improve their collateral. I created interactive textbook experiences on the iPad as a design lead in the publishing industry and, most recently, I've had the opportunity to create a fresh look for events and fundraising efforts at William & Mary, and to refine brand guidelines for a multi-faceted institution.
Every project is an opportunity for growth and each new client offers a fresh perspective on the world. I look forward to learning more about you unique needs and how we can work together to accomplish your goals.
